Thursday evening SPY

SPY 60min

SPY violated its 50dma by about 35 cents and then snapped right back up.  That was a real good bounce.  But just a bounce.  There are plenty of disappointed buyers overhead, so I wouldn't expect it to zoom higher without some backing and filling.  Plus, there is some real nastiness going on in the currency markets.  Be careful out there.

While you're waiting for tomorrow's number ... how about a dance?

The market has no strong commitment up or down today.  It seems everyone is bobbing and weaving while they wait for the jobs number tomorrow pre-market. Some traders may not come back from lunch.

Thursday morning - June 6

U.S. Army troops wade ashore on Omaha Beach

The Normandy landings, codenamed Operation Neptune, were the landing operations of the Allied invasion of Normandy, in Operation Overlord, during World War II. The landings commenced on Tuesday, 6 June 1944 (D-Day).  The operation was the largest amphibious invasion in world history and was executed by land, sea and air elements under direct British-American command with over 160,000 soldiers.
